The pull-up and dip are two of the most basic, yet effective body weight strength exercises possible. They ensure maximum upper-body muscle recruitment, working multiple muscles in coordination motion and help develop a lean, defined physique.
To perform pull-ups and dips you can use a free standing bodyweight training station that has the capability for both exercises. There are also dedicated dip stations, or freestanding / mounted pull-up facilities readily available.
Another excellent option for pull-up and dip training are gymnastics rings. Lightweight, portable and height adjustable you can rig up fitness rings almost anywhere. The independent movement of the rings increases the intensity of the exercises and maximises physical development.
